Groovy! Well performed dude.

Kinda reminds me of some Jackie Chan funky credit roll or perhaps a TV show intro roll for an action comedy!

The hook is quite catchy so it would fit well into something like that. Police story style from the 80s or 90s :)

Loving the atmosphere behind the piano, like the pads sort of blending with the decay of the piano, very nice. Not sure if theres some hidden reverse piano samples in there too but whatever it is, its sweet.

The piano itself is nice. My personal flavour is to put the foot down on that pedal that kind of muffles the sound, dunno if all pianos have that, but it always sounds so nice, especially on quieter bits, then use the fuller sound of the piano on the louder bits. That would be my only tweak but it's more of a personal flavour thing.

Your drums are nice, gives it a good continuation and flow without disrupting the rhythm of the piece. Actually makes it hypnotic! Your snare was cool too, fits well.

WOW!!! The track just finished! Dude, the whole thing was so seemless! Had no idea 4 minutes just went by. Very cool man.

This could definitely extend into an 8+ minute piece. Has a similar continuation to it as Deadmau5 minus the electronic elements.

We're now entering one of those Netflix future punk shows, where they show those gadgets or tech of the future.

Definitely gives off those vibes with the use of your pads and beat. The quick arps just before 1:10 gives a very weird vibe to the whole thing, like some strange future setting would. Then your smoother synth kicks in shortly after which takes it into more of a groove. The track overall keeps the listener on their feet, in part due to the pad chord progression and continuation and in part due to those aroy bits. Sounds either like a future film setting or someone tripping on mushrooms while in VR!

Cool stuff

thanks for the helpful review man

Revisiting an old track is always fun. Lets give this a whirl.

Starting off with a lot of space, nice little guitar bit going on. Has an almost Matrix esque punky vibe crossed with some 80s Arcade vibes. Very fitting for an arcade type gig, where the protagonists are really cool and wear some legit glasses and Elvis outfits with space boots xD

The guitar is nice dude, fits well without muddying the track. Yeah, thats actually a great quality, how youve got all these elements going on but given them all their respective space within the track. Nicely done.

The melodies are definitely fun and varied without going off on a tangent. It all fits well. The guitar at 2:40 is pure dragonballz anime esque!

And 3:00 synth is bliss! So smooth.

Yeah dude, great job!

Would definitely fit in an 80s or 90s throwback movie with over the top elements set around the Arcades and all that fun stuff! Like stranger things mixed with wreck it ralph but minus the horror.

Good stuff! If you got anymore you want me to check out, lemme know :)

Waterflame responds:

Thank you so much for the review! Glad to hear it :D

Funky start. Has a nice dance vibe going on. The lead ontop is quite cool. You got a 90s esque vibe going with the backing synth. Some nice melodies on that lead. Good job varying it up.

What would have been cool is a drop in the action, like a pause for a bar, perhaps on the 8th bar of a section, like a short breakdown, then slap the whole track back in. Sort of like at 2 min but drop the track in HARD.

Oh, the melodies at the 2 min mark are very funky by the way. Especially on the fast ups and downs. Very nice and the way you brought it back into the earlier section was cool.

Perhaps a slight transition between section A and B at the 2 min mark?

Nice melodies dude. Definitely my favourite bits from the piece :)

TeraVex responds:

Thanks man! I appreciate it!

Jazzwave sounds different... intriguing!

Quite an upbeat start with the melodies. Sounds fitting for a short movie or animation! Interesing vocals ontop. Now we're entering indie film territory, like Superbad or something. Whats that one where the dude has to battle all the ex boyfriends? Reminds me of that.

Any chance of lyrics in the description?

The harmonica bit is nuts by the way! Awesome xD

I have the lyrics up on my Bandcamp: https://riesem.bandcamp.com/track/narc-jazzwave

Nice singing dude!

Quite a summer vibe track, with that big feeling to it. Festival style. For whatever reason I feel like riding a car down some Italian countryside, zipping past some awesome landscapes.

The dubstep drums are very cool.

Any longer version?

The singing was good dude! Should definitely make a reappearance.

DuvanROfficial responds:

It's just an idea but i'll finish it one day. Thank you so much!

Crashhhh! Haven't played that game since PS1! Good game but I always sucked at the jumping bits.

Onto the track, very groovy. I like your drum roll that kicked in around the 40 second mark. Other favourite bit is that guitar that kicked in around 1:10ish.

The track has a nice continuation to it and your drums are on point. Very well played, and if it's midi drums then nicely done because it sounds hand played! :D

Keep up the good work!

4.5/5 for composition and those awesome drums. Minor suggestion would be to tweak the volumes a touch to bring out the electro guitar more at 30 seconds. Some bits are slightly louder than others. Easier to notice if you turn your headphones down, some bits arent quite audible e.g. 30 seconds and 55 seconds.

Peace

DreyLand responds:

wow thanks a lot for this review, I'm glad you liked it! :)

I'll check for the volume, I will do better next time, thanks a lot to explain that to a newbie like me!

Back in the flow of things!
