Starts nice and loud, a lot of energy right off the bat. Kicks in quite hard too. Nice energy throughout. Having a listen to the full track now on Soundcloud. Is it just my headphones or is it distorted a bit in the drops?

+ I like the intro -you could chuck some more volume into it if you wanted
+ The melodies in the intro are decent
- That sweeping noise around 23 seconds is a bit harsh on the ears
+ The drop has a nice background bit, the ragga style instrument, a pluck of sorts, chuck more volume into that for sure
+ The dirty bass around 1:03 could for sure have more of its own sections, it's pretty gangster
+ That build up around 1:34 is very nice, the strings chuck a whole new ambience into it
+ Vocal was a nice touch around 1:50
My suggestion would be to focus a bit more on your volume levels. Try and get each synth into their own space, so they are clearly audible and boost parts that are quieter, just increase the volume on them firstly, and use a compressor if you need.
Cool melodies dude, keep it up!
For sure, I'm liking these vibes!
Has a retro feel to it for sure but also sounds quite future like.
The melody at :56 is nice and those arps man, very nice. So easy on the ears too which is tricky with arps, especially in the high range, so kudos!
The drop is smooth as heck. Such control and clean sounds. The arp at 1:35 is awesome, and the switch up in melody a few moments later is good too, exploring different vibes along the way. The breakdown is sweet around 2:10 or so, with a decent build up following.
Overall dude, very unique style. Like chill mixed with chip mixed with retro mixed with future mixed with dance.
Awesome!
Starts off very soft and melodic, damn, it would go so nicely with vocals!! Some in the background, with a soothing one in the foreground, perhaps a lady :D
The pan flute is a nice touch too! The swoosh is cool, leads into the next section nicely. Could dash a bit more reverb on it.
Damn, the drop is tasty, I love that snare, the one that comes on the final beat? The one that has a high EQ pop sound behind it, very nice. The main lead in the drop is cool. The breakdown at 1:43 is nice too, you could even chuck a drum pattern after it, perhaps 2 bars of quiet then drums, as it's still in the energy section of the song, you can keep the groove going.
I like the bells that come in around 2:00, a nice touch and makes it feel different. For sure, some vocals would go nicely with this.
Yeah, it's cool dude :)
Just saw the tag "tropical"! That describes this song very well! :D
I have a picture of some sort of nice garden, right off the bat, some nice scenery, awesome.
The build up is nice, you switch the sound with some bitcrusher which is tasty, and the sneaky beat & bass build up is cool. Wondering where it'll go from there. Everythings coming in filtered.
ThEN BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Drop time. Sounds cool. You've opened up the highs a bit too much though buddy, it's a tad harsh on head phones. The drop itself is nice though. The rhythm is certainly there!
Where's the rest of the track at?
Im excited about how you described it, melodic dubstep is about catching different emotions and thats what i wanted. and for you to explain it perfectly made it pretty simple. Though i do agree that the highs in the drop were too high but that also brings me to a point that its not finished and im still gonna try and find a vocalist. I hope youll find the full song better.
Has a grimey video game start, some cool 8 bitish business going on there. You're short selling yourself in the description dude! It certainly sounds cool / different.
The drop itself is quite odd feeling, gives it a Halloween style vibe. Where's the snare at though? It kicks in around 1:12 but needs a bit more presence, maybe up the volume or add some more separation or layer it with another snare or chuck a reverse snare before it?
Oh, the wobble effect around 1:44 is very nice indeed.
2:17 is sexyaf!! Let that instrument kick in a bit harder dude, it sits in the background a bit.
The flow of the track is good dude. Composition wise it's good. Just need to brushen up the levels here and mixdown. It sounds like it was produced on a mobile phone, by a dude who has some solid music knowledge and composition skills, but isn't quite adding umph to the instruments.
DAMN!!!! 3:45!!! YOU SAVED THAT TILL THE END? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!! IT'S SO TASTY
Overall dude, worst dubstep song ever produced.
I jest. The composition is very nice and it sounds quite unique. Just need to focus on the technical bits of the production namely volume levels and general mixing. Some elements that could have had more presence were in the background, where they should have been more in the front of the mix, you can do this by EQing the low levels, for example boosting your bass on the bassline & kick, and cutting the bass on everything else, similarly for the snare, boosting the upper mid range. Figuring out where each instrument sits in the mix, will let you push through the sounds more on each one and bring everything much louder. Particularly important I'd say for your drums, hats and snares, as they seem to be under-powered especially in the earlier part of the song, up till like 1:12, then your snare & hat is audible but your kick is quiet and that messy melody is perhaps too far in the background, especially as you layer a second melody with it at 1:26, they make it hectic, whereas what you could do is some channel panning, throw one instrument more to the left, the other more to the right, and perhaps pull the mid instrument up an octave and then remove the bottom end of it so your mid to bass sounds can float on their own.
Anyway dude, I'm waffling, good composition! I enjoyed it :)
This is one of the greatest notifications for a review I have ever received. I considered this track complete garbage but clearly that’s not what people think, based on the ratings and this review. I really need to use the EQ more.... and there were snares and reverse snares in the first part of the drops, then the second part I decided to remove them because it was too hectic. Yeah I should have made them louder but I was too worried about the track being too quiet :/. I will take your feedback into consideration when I inevitably make a second dubstep track :)
P.S. it was not produced on a phone IT WAS PRODUCED ON A TABLET NO ONE WHO IS SANE WOULD EVEN TRY TO PRODUCE A GOOD TRACK ON A PHONE
Interesting sounds dude! Like the other dude, would have been nice to hear a bit more from each track. But yeah, sounds good.
Very ambient start to the track, the b ells are nice and that owly slight vibe is cool. The space-launch style vocals are cool too. Damn, then that instrument kicks in quite jolly.
The drop is powerful as heck dude. Very nice.
My feedback would be to somehow bring more reverb into the second part of the build up section & boost the levels a bit on the earlier sections, as the rest of the song is quite loud. Also, widen some more elements in the drop, use those left / right channels.
Like it dude. The drop itself remains interesting and you've weaved the instruments thoroughly. Any plans to extend the track? Sounds like it's ripe for a second drop!
Good stuff, enjoyed it :)
Yeah dude, you nailed the feel. Quite American Dubstep-esque. The breakdown at 1:30ish was my favourite bit. Not a huge fan of the vocals but I love the mortal kombat esque bits like 1:50. That sounds is nice. Would have liked to see the synths around that mark evolve a bit in terms of sound, maybe through some modulation.
The drops are okay, fits the genre well. If I'm being critical, I would say the mortal kombat bits could have a slightly different style of drop like more deep dubstep but to each his own.
Cool work!
