1 min was niceeeeeeeee!!

Some work on your mixing would do wonders to bring that section out more. It feels like it's sitting back a bit.

2 min is actually better mixing wise, it pops a bit more than the first drop.

Reckon some light EQ, chopping away low frequencies on some synths and boosting highs here and there would help bring it out more. Also your synth all occupy the same space it sounds like, improve that by panning and stereo imaging some whilst monoing the ones you want in the middle and it'll sit even nicer. 2 min is actually much better in this regard than the earlier bits.

Hope this helps

I will take this opinion for further releases! Thx :)

Interesting piece dude. 1:46 is my favourite bit, with that soft guitarlike melody :)

Definitely some cool chill vibes there!

Spot on dude!

Drop is very nice as is your soft build up.

Could have a bit more width in there though. Feels quite centered / narrow.

A smidge more glue / reverb / tail between your first drop and the breakdown would help too.

All the best with the contest!

13/8 time?! You are on some Einstein business xD

The track itself is decent dude. Quite an ambient piece. You got those low ducked kicks and spaced synths with jingles here and there adding to the atmosphere.

Interesting sounds dude!

If you want to go more punchy with your next one:
- More risers and falls
- Snares
- Punchy kick
- Cymbals
- Midbass focus, wobbles etc.

Cool work overall dude :)

Thank you! I will take your tips into consideration when creating more music. I have always been interested in odd time signatures, starting with the songs my dad used to play on the piano and at some point it got crazy. Now it feels like a natural part in composing, and probably less than half of my tracks are in 4/4. I have never watched that many music tutorials and some things that other people seem to have very easy with I get all tangled up in. Almost all I know about mixing and such is gained through little lines and concepts, like balancing the sounds throughout the frequency spectrum and side-chaining, and almost all synth knowledge is self acquired.
Overall, thank you for the feedback!

Yes!!!!!!!!!

That piano sample is spot on dude and the sax too.

Awesome work!

Some things to spicen it up:
- scratches
- cymbals
- voice snippits

Where do I go for the Latte?

Fell asleep, woke up in Narnia.

Very chilled vibes! Lovely ambience and bell sounds.

Some personal tips:
- the snare is harsh, a clap might be nicer / softer to match with the piece. It works in the later bits but stands out too much on the earlier bits. Like it's right there in your ear kinda thing.

The ambient bits are very strong, just the drum bits stick out to me but other than that sounds spot on!

ShockblastDeluxe responds:

Thanks for the input!

Spot on dude!

Fits the description perfectly :)

Might have to boot up Forza Horizon and give this a whirl.

My only criticism, why is it distorting? Noticeable at 2 min mark.

AngelPandaEarth responds:

Some people say that Newgrounds has a bass problem but if downloaded, then that's a problem...

Quite a minimal style you got going on!

Very melow vibes :)

I like it!

supafreshpjs responds:

Thanks. I still need to add more to it though.

Hands in the air feel good vibes going.

Nice melodies and the supporting piano helps fill the space.

Only thing that's maybe pulls the track back a bit are the piano chords, especially earlier in the song like first drop / first minute.

Something about chords and piano just cheapens it.

1:25 is lovely btw!

Hope this is useful, keep up the good work!

Back in the flow of things!
