Onto the track itself:

Not sure what the original sounded like or is this an original? Owl City is a band right?

Quite a lowkey piece with heavy spacing elements and a rugged drumbeat.

The reverb is overwhelming especially at 2 mins but I guess thats the effect youre going for

Has a heavy experimental vibe.

That Piano at the end at 2:18 has a powerful melody you could extend the track with majorly.

Guessing you're new to this?

Thing to do next time round:
- use a few more notes in your melody
- layer your melody with a few other instruments
- add a bass synth and copy the notes to that too

Try to aim for 3 or more instruments if you want to hip hop.

Even a piano piece will usually have a:
Drumkit
Piano
Bass or Bass Synth

Track itself is quite funky, you could extend it and just tweak some of the peaks and bingo!

Quite a fun song dude!

My criticism would be to bring the volume throw a bit more. It feels like it's sitting too far behind your snare at parts, other parts your snare is in the background where it should sit more prominent as it's a drop.

Cool song though dude, quite fun and happy!

haha much appreciated. and you are right about coming close to Oceanlabs Sirens of the Sea.
i dont really use equipment.. just fruity loops, bunch of vst's and ofcourse that acapella. Oh and a decent enough pc that can handle most plugins (times 3) available for fruity loops and beyond.

Nice work dude. Right off the bat though you need to get your hands on some non-midi strings. They have that midi feel to them but you have used them well so good job.

1:28 is very cool. Not quite sure if its a villain piece or a hero one, maybe not the hero we deserve but the one we need ;)

Nice synth and good structure to the piece. Really liking those background murky feels.

Good job dude, just get some better instruments maybe Kontakt.

Best trap / future bass song I've heard so far on this site!

Criticism would be some bits get repetitive like your toms, and in your drop too it needs slight more variety.

Decent piece, has very cool old school dubstep vibes nostalgia!

Need to up the high a bit on your mix. Could be even clearer. The fun factor in your track is there dude. Just the mix needs attention in particular EQing.
